This year’s Davos is a “watershed” moment, said Hai Zhao, a director of international political studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a state-affiliated think tank.
He said countries are likely to shift toward regional trade, rather than a global economy centered on the U.S.

Investors are now valuing Alibaba-backed Moonshot AI at $4.8 billion, two people familiar with the matter told CNBC, up by $500m from the valuation achieved last month. The investor interest comes after two rival Chinese AI companies — Zhipu and MiniMax — surged after going public in Hong Kong earlier this year.
